Glycophil Intensive Moisturiser

Barrier Repair, Fragrance-Free Hydrating Cream for Stressed & Dehydrated Skin
Hydrate & Recover

Long-term skin health relies on two biological processes. Hydration during the day. Recovery during the night. Most moisturisers support one. This formulation is engineered for both.

Your skin operates in two distinct phases. During the day, it is exposed to continuous stress. Sun, air conditioning, pollution, and humidity shifts all steadily deplete hydration and strain the barrier. At night, the balance shifts. Barrier lipid synthesis increases. Cellular turnover accelerates. The skin moves into a repair cycle, restoring what the day has disrupted. Long-term skin health depends on how well both phases are supported.

D-Panthenol, a mineral trio — Zinc, Copper, and Magnesium, 5 humectants — Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Glycerin, and Betaine. Engineered to support hydration through the day and recovery through the night.

Where this fits
Two routines — AM for hydration, PM for recovery.
+
AM Routine

On most mornings, the Daily Moisturiser (Rs. 299) goes here. Switch to the Intensive when your skin is under pressure — dry spells, heavy AC, travel, post-retinol recovery.

PM Routine

Every night. Apply after cleansing as the final step. If you use a treatment (retinol, Depigmentation Cream, or any active), apply it first — the Intensive goes on last and seals everything in.

The Science
Hydration across three depths, the overnight repair cycle, and the logic behind every ingredient.

Ingredients
D-Panthenol 10% · Sodium Hyaluronate · Zinc · Copper · Magnesium · 5 humectants
+
D-Panthenol10%— Provitamin B5. Converts to Pantothenic acid, feeds barrier lipid synthesis.
Sodium Hyaluronate— Deep hydration. Draws water into the skin at a molecular level.
Butylene Glycol3%— Lightweight humectant. Hydrates and enhances absorption of other actives.
Propanediol— Plant-derived humectant. Sustained hydration with improved skin feel.
Glycerin1%— Humectant. Draws moisture from the environment, holds it at the skin surface.
Betaine— Natural humectant from sugar beet. Osmotic moisture regulation.
Allantoin— Supports cellular turnover. Accelerates clearance of damaged cells.
Zinc Gluconate— Mineral cofactor. Activates repair enzymes in the skin.
Copper Gluconate— Mineral cofactor. Supports collagen and elastin synthesis.
Magnesium Aspartate— Mineral cofactor. Cellular energy production for repair processes.
Aquaxyl— Supports aquaporin channels. Internal water distribution within skin tissue.
Dimethicone— Occlusive film. Seals in hydration, reduces transepidermal water loss.
How to Use
4 steps · Nightly as the last step · Daytime when your context demands more
+
1
Apply to clean skin after the Glycophil Cleanser. Residue and sunscreen from the day will reduce absorption and interfere with the overnight repair process.
2
If you use a serum or treatment, apply those first. The Intensive Moisturiser goes on last — its occlusive layer seals in what came before it.
3
Use nightly. The overnight repair cycle peaks between 11pm and 4am. Applying before sleep gives D-Panthenol and the mineral complex the time they need to work alongside your skin's own repair process.
4
Daytime high-demand contexts: heavy AC exposure, travel, dry spells, post-retinol barrier stress — when your daytime context demands more than the Daily Moisturiser provides, use the Intensive instead. Follow with SPF in the morning.
A note on amount
A pea-sized amount for the full face. The formulation is concentrated — more does not mean better absorption. A thin, even layer is sufficient. The initial sticky feel is intentional: the five humectants are hygroscopic, actively drawing moisture. It settles within five to ten minutes. That said, skin varies. If a pea-sized amount feels insufficient for your face, adjust upward slightly until coverage feels even. Start small and add — easier than removing excess.
Our Approach
Skin Essentials is the foundation line. Skin Context is why it exists.
+
Skin Essentials

Skin Essentials is the baseline range — the products every skin needs regardless of context. Not targeted treatments. Not skin-type prescriptions. The foundation that keeps the barrier functional so everything else works better.

The Cleanser clears without stripping. The Daily Moisturiser maintains what the Cleanser preserves. The Intensive Moisturiser supplies what the overnight repair cycle runs on, and steps in when your context demands more. The Depigmentation Cream targets pigmentation driven by sun, inflammation, and post-acne response. One complete system.

Skin Context

You are not oily skin or dry skin. You are skin that had a bad night's sleep, spent the day in air conditioning, or just stepped in from a humid afternoon outside. Your environment, your stress, your routine — all of it shapes what your skin needs right now. That is not a skin type. That is a skin context.

Glycophil is built around skin contexts. Your skin is dynamic and ever-changing, not limited to a box or a label.

FAQ
7 questions — Intensive vs Daily, sticky feel, morning use, retinol pairing, and more
+
What is the difference between the Daily Moisturiser and the Intensive Moisturiser?+
The Daily Moisturiser is built for your baseline context — everyday hydration and barrier maintenance. The Intensive is formulated around two specific jobs: sustained hydration under pressure, and supplying the biochemicals your skin's overnight repair cycle runs on. Different formulations, different roles, designed to work as a system.
Should I use the Intensive every night or only when my skin needs it?+
Every night. Your skin runs its repair cycle nightly regardless of how it looks or feels. The Intensive is not an emergency product — it is the nightly context your repair cycle works best in. Reaching for it only when skin looks stressed means the repair process has already been running without full support.
Can I use this in the morning?+
Yes. If your skin is flaking, feeling tight, or noticeably dehydrated during the day, switch to the Intensive for two to three days. Follow with SPF. Once your skin has settled, return to the Daily Moisturiser for your morning routine. Through all of this, keep using the Intensive at night — the overnight routine should not be interrupted.
How does it work with retinol or other actives?+
Apply retinol or treatment actives first, then the Intensive on top as the final step. Its occlusive layer seals in what came before it. D-Panthenol at 10% also actively supports barrier recovery, which makes it a particularly good pairing with retinol.
How much should I apply?+
A pea-sized amount for the full face. The formulation is concentrated — more does not mean better absorption. A thin, even layer is sufficient. That said, skin varies — if a pea-sized amount feels insufficient, adjust upward slightly until coverage feels even.
The product feels sticky on my face and hands — is that normal?+
Yes, and it is intentional. The five humectants in the formulation are hygroscopic — they actively draw moisture from the environment. That drawing action is what you are feeling. It settles within five to ten minutes as the humectants bind to water in the skin.
Can I skip the Daily Moisturiser and just use the Intensive?+
You can, but the two products are not interchangeable. The Daily Moisturiser is lighter and formulated for daytime barrier maintenance under your everyday context. The Intensive is richer and formulated for recovery. Using only the Intensive during the day means a heavier texture than most daytime contexts require. The system works best when both are used as intended.

The Science

Two biological processes. One formulation built around both.

Most moisturisers are built for one job. The Intensive Moisturiser is formulated around the two processes that together determine long-term skin health — active hydration and the overnight recovery cycle that rebuilds what the day depletes.

The Hydration System

The Intensive Moisturiser hydrates at three levels simultaneously. Five humectants — Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Glycerin, and Betaine — draw water into the skin at different molecular depths. Dimethicone forms an occlusive layer on the surface, sealing moisture in and reducing transepidermal water loss. Aquaxyl supports the skin's own aquaporin channels, the biological pathways through which water moves within skin tissue.

The Recovery System

At night, your skin runs its own repair cycle, rebuilding barrier lipids and restoring structural integrity. The Intensive Moisturiser supplies what this process runs on. D-Panthenol at 10% converts to Pantothenic acid within the skin, directly feeding barrier lipid synthesis. Zinc, Copper, and Magnesium Gluconate act as cofactors for the repair enzymes your skin produces naturally. Allantoin supports cellular turnover, accelerating the clearance of damaged cells.

What is in it and why

D-Panthenol
Provitamin B5 · 10%
The formulation's primary active. At 10%, D-Panthenol converts to Pantothenic acid in the skin and feeds directly into barrier lipid synthesis. This is not a supporting ingredient. It is the mechanism through which the repair process is fuelled.
Sodium Hyaluronate
Humectant
Draws water into the skin at a molecular level. Works in concert with the four other humectants in the formulation to create layered, sustained hydration rather than a surface-level effect.
Mineral Trio
Zinc · Copper · Magnesium
Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, and Magnesium Aspartate act as cofactors for the repair enzymes your skin produces naturally. Without these minerals present, the overnight repair cycle runs at reduced capacity.
Aquaxyl
Moisturising Agent
Supports the skin's aquaporin channels — the biological pathways through which water moves within skin tissue. Keeps the internal water distribution system functioning rather than just depositing moisture at the surface.
Dimethicone
Conditioning Agent
Forms an occlusive film on the skin surface, reducing transepidermal water loss. Seals what the humectants draw in. Gives the Intensive its characteristic texture — substantive without heaviness.
Allantoin
Moisturising Agent
Supports cellular turnover, accelerating the clearance of damaged cells during the overnight repair cycle. Works alongside D-Panthenol and the mineral trio to ensure the repair process completes efficiently.
Glycerin
Humectant · 1%
A well-established humectant that draws moisture from the environment and holds it at the skin surface. Works as part of the five-humectant system to deliver hydration at multiple depths simultaneously.
Butylene Glycol
Humectant · 3%
A lightweight humectant that hydrates, enhances the absorption of other actives, and improves skin texture. At 3%, it contributes meaningfully to the formulation's sustained hydration system while supporting delivery of the other ingredients.
