Glycophil Depigmentation Cream
Glycophil Depigmentation Cream
Pigmentation in Indian skin forms through three separate pathways. Most products address only one. This cream was built to interrupt all three simultaneously.
Multi-active night cream that may help with pigmentation concerns by working on three points in the pigmentation pathway simultaneously. Kojic Acid and Alpha Arbutin help inhibit melanin production at the source. Niacinamide helps prevent melanin from spreading to surrounding cells. Lactic Acid supports the shedding of pigmented surface cells.
Formulated for targeted, nighttime application on areas of concern — not the full face. Dermatologically tested. Fragrance-free, dye-free, no essential oils.

This cream works best on stable, baseline skin — not skin that is actively managing inflammation, breakouts, or barrier damage. Using depigmentation actives on inflamed skin can worsen the marks you are trying to clear.
Right context to use this
— Skin is calm — no active breakouts
— No open wounds or broken skin
— Barrier feels intact — no stinging
— Carrying marks from past acne or sun
— In a stable maintenance routine
Wait before starting
— Active acne — address that first
— Ongoing inflammation or redness
— Currently on a prescribed course
— Compromised or sensitised barrier
— Post-procedure skin (peels, laser)
Apply only to areas of concern — not the full face. Follow with Moisturiser to seal and support the barrier overnight.
Do not use this cream in the morning. Depigmenting actives increase your skin's sensitivity to UV. Sun exposure without SPF will directly undo your results and can deepen existing marks. SPF is part of how this product works.
All actives at functional concentrations. Full INCI list on pack.
Night use only
This cream is formulated for nighttime application. The actives work during your skin's overnight repair cycle and increase sensitivity to UV.
SPF is non-negotiable
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning while using this cream. Sun exposure will directly counteract the depigmentation process.
Prescription-compatible. This formula can be used alongside tretinoin, topical antibiotics, and other dermatologist-prescribed products. If you are on an active prescription course, consult your dermatologist on sequencing.
Skin Essentials is the baseline range — the products every skin needs regardless of context. Not targeted prescriptions. Not skin-type labels. The foundation that keeps the barrier functional so everything else works better.
The Cleanser clears without stripping. The Daily Moisturiser maintains what the Cleanser preserves. The Intensive Moisturiser supplies what the overnight repair cycle runs on. The Depigmentation Cream helps with pigmentation driven by sun, inflammation, and post-acne response. One complete system.
Learn more about Skin Essentials →You are not oily skin or dry skin. You are skin that had a bad night's sleep, spent the day in air conditioning, or just stepped in from a humid afternoon outside. Your environment, your stress, your routine — all of it shapes what your skin needs right now. That is not a skin type. That is a skin context.
Glycophil is built around skin contexts. Your skin is dynamic and ever-changing, not limited to a box or a label.

The Science
How Pigmentation Forms and Where This Cream Intervenes
Pigmentation isn't a single event. It is a sequence — from trigger to melanin production to spread to surface deposit. Each step is a point of intervention. This formulation targets three of the most critical ones simultaneously.
Cross-section illustration showing three intervention points in the pigmentation pathway
Tyrosinase Inhibition
Melanin production begins when the enzyme tyrosinase is activated in melanocytes — specialised cells in the basal layer of the skin. Inhibiting tyrosinase reduces how much melanin is produced at the source. Three actives in this formula work on this pathway simultaneously, each through a different mechanism of inhibition.
Melanin Transfer Inhibition
Even when melanin production is reduced, already-formed melanin can transfer from melanocytes to surrounding keratinocytes — the skin cells that carry pigment up to the surface as a visible mark. Niacinamide interrupts this transfer step, preventing existing melanin from spreading further.
Surface Renewal
Pigmented keratinocytes rise to the skin's surface and remain visible as dark marks until they are shed. Lactic acid accelerates this natural turnover, helping the skin clear pigmented surface cells faster while also improving the penetration of other actives.
